4. The Undertaker Vs. Batista - Backlash 2007

We’ve already seen the mixed results that pairing two big men can sometimes bring, but in the case of the Undertaker vs. Batista, it was very much a formula for success.

These two had great chemistry together, as they demonstrated at Backlash 2007 in a rematch of their titanic WrestleMania 23 showdown.

This time, though, they had the Last Man Standing stipulation on their side, allowing them to pull out big-time spots such as The Undertaker’s lesser-seen leg drop through the announce table, as well as a truly memorable stunt for the finish.

With ‘Taker standing precariously on the edge of the stage, Batista charged and hit him with the Spear, sending both men crashing to the ground below before half the set would fall on top of them. It didn’t actually hit them, of course, but it made for an impressive finale nonetheless.

It did, however, mean the match ended as a draw. But as long as that meant we’d get to see more from these two, I don’t think anyone was complaining too loudly.
