Winning the Money in the Bank Ladder match for a second time at WrestleMania XXV, CM Punk remains the only person with that accolade.

Feuding with Umaga after ‘Mania, Punk was repeatedly stopped in his tracks when he attempted cashing in. Finally toppling the Samoan Bulldozer in a Samoan Strap Match at Extreme Rules, Punk’s way was clear, and he was through waiting around to be the top guy.

The main event for the pay-per-view was the fantastic ladder match between longtime rivals, Jeff Hardy and Edge. After a gruelling twenty-minutes, Jeff was victorious and became World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career.

His reign was short-lived, however, as The Straight Edge Superstar crashed the party, delivering two Go-To-Sleeps for the quick win. Punk and Hardy would continue to feud over the Championship, and this was pivotal in Punk's rise. This would also be Hardy's last programme in the company for almost eight years.

Despite this leading to a fantastic feud between both men, Punk’s second cash-in was not as special as his first.
