EVERY WWE Money In The Bank Cash-In Ranked From Worst To Best
13. Damien Sandow - RAW October 28, 2013
Interrupting John Cena during a promo, The Intellectual Saviour teased cashing in his contract before delaying. After attempting to leave the ring, Cena absconded Sandow. Sir Money in the Bank retaliated with a beatdown on Cena’s injured arm to then demand a referee come to the ring, as his ‘time is now.’
Bringing Cena back into the ring, Sandow went back to work on his injured arm. Cena fought back, and a decent short match followed.
After a missed diving cross-body from Cena, Sandow attempted a piledriver, only to have it reversed into an Attitude Adjustment for Cena to retain.
Damien Sandow became the first person to lose a cash-in match; it had to happen sometime. As Sandow’s gimmick at the time was that of an arrogant, smart-aleck heel, getting outsmarted by the veteran made sense.
At the time, it was panned by many of the WWE audience, but with hindsight, the outcome seems for the best.
