Time With Contract Before Cash-In: 1 Day

2020 was rarely not terrible, especially when it came to watching WWE fail to cope all that well with the circumstances thrust upon them by the pandemic.

Talent were in an unenviable position, working in totally uncertain and unprecedented times against a production style that refused to shift enough to suit the terms. Asuka was one of the rule-proving exceptions throughout, and was rewarded with more than just the briefcase.

After "Climbing The Corporate Ladder" and claiming what she thought was a title shot, it was revealed to her on Raw that she was in fact the new Champion as Becky Lynch prepared to go off on maternity leave. 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' was kept in the dark until the in-ring reveal, resulting in one of the few bright lights from an otherwise pitch black period.

WWE is awesome when, against type, it's just nice. And speaking of that...
