Time With Contract Before Cash-In: 57 Days

As probably the most universally beloved man in all of professional wrestling, Big E was a difficult circle to square when it came to winning Money In The Bank in 2021.

People were thrilled to see him grab the contract and all that it typically promised, but the cash-in itself has become more about surprise moments for scheming heels or uncharacteristically opportunistic babyfaces, and the New Day man fit neither of these profiles.

WWE worked around it to an extent, but they needn't have worried. E tweeted that he'd be cashing in on Raw hours before the show went live, then picked his spot after an injured Bobby Lashley had retained the WWE Championship on the show. Far from squeaky clean, but the audience universally received it as such anyway. For years, he'd implored fans to feel the power, and when he held the iconic strap aloft, everybody did.
