Every WWE Raw Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best
7. 1998
As exciting as that car crash clip was though, it was
nothing on the mayhem and destruction from the 1998 Raw intro.
Here, the show opened with a camera panning to an abandoned warehouse, before entering the dilapidated building amidst the wail of sirens, the barking of police dogs and the churning guitar of “Thorn in Your Eye” by the aptly-named Slamjam.
Once inside, a series of unexplained explosions were interlaced with shots of Mankind jumping from the top rope and falling from the top of the cell, before we caught a glimpse of Stone Cold Steve Austin striding through the warehouse towards a ring that had its middle rope set ablaze.
Explosions, fires, even a shot of nuclear bombs being
dropped at one point—as well as the occasional clip of in-ring action—if you
aren’t ready for two hours or Raw after this, you should probably be checking
your pulse.
