Every WWE Raw Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best
21. 2013 & 2014
Bright lights? Hyped crowd? That can only mean that tonight
is indeed the night, and that our next entry is the post-Raw 1,000 intro that
arrived in the summer of 2012.
Again, this one was hampered by a lacklustre song, and one that got very old very fast. It’s a slight improvement on the previous entry in that it focused on the wrestlers a little more, but it didn’t necessarily do so in the best of ways.
The likes of John Cena and Alberto Del Rio had their faces plastered on rotating screens, which just made them look rather warped, and clips of others were paused in freeze frames, making the who sequence feel rather glitch-ridden.
There was some nice continuity between the lyrics and images, such as an airborne Rey Mysterio during the “we’re flying high with the stars” line, but other than that this was a Raw intro that I imagine many would rather forget.
We saw a few renditions of this intro, with the likes of Damien Sandow and Fandango being added in, but all in all it wasn’t enough to save this one from being doomed to mediocrity.
