Used only for Raw 1000, 'Tonight Is The Night' was never about accompanying opening credits; it was about reflecting on the red brand's rich history. A dance track, it was more mainstream and modern than anything Raw had used before but there was also an air of nostalgia about it that allowed it to work incredibly well for the occasion.

It probably wouldn't have been so well-received if it had become a permanent opening theme (because, let's face it, the dance themes used in the past decade haven't gone down well with fans) but for the 1000th episode of Raw, it just felt right.
