Every WWE Release Of 2021 - Where Are They Now? (Five Years Later)
56. Fandango
Then: Vince McMahon never seemed to get the oddball vibes of Breezango. The tag-team earned praise from all corners of the wrestling globe for being a breath of fresh air and unique compared to most other duos, but the most important person in WWE at the time didn't see things that way.
Eventually, McMahon gave up on Fandango completely by releasing him in June 2021. That was a sorry end to a tale which stretched back to unlikely pop culture notoriety in 2013 for the dancing fool character.
Now: You might be getting in touch with 'Dirty Dango' about some home improvements!
That home renovation stuff is something he's fully focused on now after announcing his retirement from active wrestling in January 2026. Fandango's last match was a loss to Eddie Edwards on TNA's Genesis pay-per-view earlier this year. The 42 year old is at peace with the thought of hanging up his boots.
WWE arguably could've made more of the guy, but he did have a solid run as an outlandish ballroom dancer who turned into a lawman fashionista. Indeed, it should be reiterated that Dango and Tyler Breeze working those 'Fashion Files' vignettes proved to be a real credit to SmackDown whilst they lasted.
Go watch some of them if you've ever had the pleasure.
Fandango worked a fairly lengthy and consistent run in TNA after leaving WWE. He did return via NXT on the 11 February 2025 episode, but stared at the lights for Lexis King in a Heritage Cup encounter. That'd prove to be his last hurrah in the company before retiring.
