Every WWE Release Of 2021 - Where Are They Now? (Five Years Later)
55. Tyler Breeze
Then: 25 June 2021 was a sad day for Breezango fans everywhere. Fandango got his marching orders, and so did one Tyler Breeze. 'Prince Pretty' was deemed expendable, but he remained popular behind the scenes with the roster for being both helpful as a mentor and generally sound as a human being.
That goes a long, long way with people. Yes, even in a cut throat industry like pro wrestling.
Now: Breeze has since returned to the company, albeit not as an active member of the roster. He did, however, make a memorable one off comeback vs. Ethan Page on the 16 September 2025 NXT. That North American Title match went down a treat with fans in attendance, and it did cause some headlines on social media ('Tyler Breeze is back!'), but it was always going to be a cameo appearance.
Today, Tyler is best known for his various roles behind the scenes. He's been a trainer at the Performance Center, part of the creative team on developmental brand NXT, and he's even popped up in WWE's video game output alongside real-life friend Xavier Woods.
In WWE 2K26, the duo introduce the game's MyGM mode. They're also available to choose as General Managers for your show, so the spirit of Breezango lives on through Tyler in digital form. A pay day is a pay day, and all that.
Strangely, that MyGM stuff is probably why some younger fans even know who Breezy is. Here's hoping they fire up the archives to see some of his work during a peak 2012-2015 run on NXT.
