Another year passed and SmackDown was live once more, live for another Christmas special that truly ramped up the festive elements that were missing the year before. It went a little over the top however, and as such turned out to be something of a drag.

Mick Foley hosted the show, and there were three (3!) Christmas-themed matches on the show, The first of these was a Mistletoe On A Pole match won by Brie Bella, a match that you should probably forget about before you get to the end of this entry. Randy Orton and David Otunga had a shockingly fun Miracle on 34th Street Fight, albeit one that saw Orton beat the tar out of Otunga for seven minutes.

Hornswoggle won an All I Want For Christmas Battle Royal, outsmarting Sheamus to win in a way that made the Celtic Warrior look like an absolute tool.

The main event of the show saw then-Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan come up short in a World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage match against Mark Henry. Bryan wasn't quite able to get a great match out of Henry, but things were about to take a dramatic turn for the future leader of the Yes! Movement.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
