One of the best babyface reigns of any title in WWE in the 2010s, which is surprising since it came from natural heel Charlotte Flair. The criticism that her reigns have gotten in the rest of this list is not her fault, and it brings so much pleasure to praise her initial reign. After a few months of being relegated to undercards as an unremarkable babyface, her scintillating television victory over Natalya on Smackdown ended with one of the most heartwarming moments of the year, with a recovering Ric Flair coming out to celebrate with his daughter in the town that meant so much to them.

After a solid non-title match with Alexa Bliss, and a disappointing rematch with Natalya at Clash of Champions PPV, Charlotte stepped up to the role of champion and had consistently entertaining television matches. While her reign didn't have weekly minor classics, it's undeniable that Flair's five months with the belt were fundamental in finally making the belt feel like a major championship.

An underrated belter with Ruby Riott at Fastlane set up the WrestleMania 34 match of the night with Asuka, the best women's match to ever be fought at the flagship show. If her reign had ended in this classic to the undefeated Empress of Tomorrow and not to Carmella's tepid MITB cash in, Flair's dependable, often brilliant run with the title could have ended up at number one. She is one of the greatest when she gets time to be.
