This is the best run that the Smackdown's Women's Title has ever had and was instrumental to elevating The Man to a main event talent. Becky Lynch's career-best run over the last three months of 2018 redefined all expectations that even die-hard fans of 'The Man' had for her, showing her potential to connect with audiences and the variety of her skills in the ring.

While her first reign was good, her emotional victory over Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell was a cathartic moment after years of relegation, with the crowd completely ignoring that she was supposed to be a heel. Rematches with Flair on Smackdown and Super Showdown were both solid, but their Last Woman Standing match at Evolution was one of the best matches of 2018 regardless of gender or promotion. Her official face turn and the start of her feud with Ronda Rousey lead to her defining moment on Raw, where, with blood pouring down her face, she showed every ounce of her charisma and magnetism, cementing herself in history.

Her final match as champion was a classic at TLC, dropping her belt to Asuka after a war with her and Charlotte. While her Raw reign was multiple times longer and her victory more dramatic, this truly special Smackdown reign was unbelievable, these few beautiful months preserved in eternity as the brightest a star has ever shone. Hopefully when she returns from maternity leave, she can have another reign as beautiful as this.
