12. No One Lives (2013)
Starring: Brodus Clay
Credit to No One Lives for taking a fairly formulaic thriller premise and imbuing it with a fresh twist that totally turns the tables in a highly unexpected way.
Sorry, Brodus Clay fans, but he has a fairly small role overall, getting gruesomely murdered before Luke Evans uses what remains of his corpse as a hiding place.
In case you haven't gathered, this is an extremely gory film and as such should be good for horror fans to lap up, even if it loses its way in its later stages as the plot ties itself up in knots.
In terms of tension, acting, visuals and blood-letting, though, it's a rock-solid thriller.
