1. The Rundown (2003)

And we finally arrive at #1. That's right, after almost 40 movies, the company's very best remains their second effort released back in 2003, an action comedy which saw The Rock team up with Seann William Scott and Christopher Walken.
It certainly helps that the movie had a monstrous $80 million budget and battle-tested director in Peter Berg in tow, but the real winner is the chemistry between Rock and Scott, which easily papers over the fairly down-the-line action adventure plot.
It helped cement The Rock's stature in the genre, one that keeps him in good stead almost 15 years later, yet despite solid critical acclaim, the film was in fact a box office bust. There's no accounting for taste, apparently.
