Every WWE WrestleMania Rematch Ranked From Worst To Best
13. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan - WrestleMania XXVIII
At WrestleMania XXVII, Sheamus chose Daniel Bryan as his opponent in a bout for the United States Championship. Then both men were disappointed to learn that their match was moved to the pre-show. Then, their match ended in a no contest, resulting in an impromptu battle royale won by the Great Khali.
Naturally, with two performers of their talent, World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and Royal Rumble winner Sheamus wanted to showcase themselves to the world at large with the best match they could have for their given timeslot.
The problem? You can't do much in 18 seconds.
Say what you will about their pre-show match, but at least there was some competition going on, a bit of back and forth. Here, the American Dragon was kicked and pinned in one of the worst booking decisions in WrestleMania history. It did no favours for Sheamus, who was not a particularly well-received babyface, and only started a revolution for Bryan which propelled him all the way to championship glory a few years later.
It's a shame their biggest match together ended in a squash, because a month later at Extreme Rules, the two proved they could work an utter barnstormer. But for wrestling's grandest stage, they didn't have a prayer.
