6. The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXVIII
Undertaker won the battle the previous year, but Triple H won the war. After being left battered and broken, Undertaker would not let that be his last abiding memory of him in a WWE ring. He goaded Hunter into one final match at WrestleMania XXVIII, this time inside Hell in a Cell with Shawn Michaels as the special referee.
The previous match was a great Attitude Era throwback, but this was a perfect tribute to that time by two of the men who defined it, in the ideal match to blow-off long time feuds (before Rollins and Wyatt ruined it). The match was the perfect combination of hardcore offence and storytelling, with Triple H once again doing everything in his power to end the Undertaker, though even both members of D-Generation X couldn't put the Deadman down.
Whereas round two was about The Game proving a point, round three was about Undertaker protecting his legacy as the last outlaw of a bygone era. What made the bout special was the post-match show of respect, with Undertaker, Michaels and Helmsley helping each other back through the certain, signifying the end of an era (for as long as it lasted at least).
