Many could be forgiven in thinking that their first WrestleMania match at X-Seven was a no holds barred match, when in actuality the referee was knocked out for an absurd amount of time. Not that it made the match bad, but it's a bit jarring when you think about it.

This is probably why, during the build-up to this match, the original encounter was all but forgotten about. Regardless, Undertaker and Triple H made up for it 10 years later by competing in a no holds barred match, with Trips having something to prove after Shawn Michaels said he couldn't break the Streak (even though we already established he couldn't).

The original match was fun attitude era mayhem, and the rematch was more of the same but had more spice thrown in. The Game and the Deadman fought years before simply because they hadn't face each other one-on-one. This time Hunter fought tooth and nail to end Undertaker's 18-0 record, even resorting to the now-banned chair shot to the head.

Even though the history books name Undertaker the winner by submission, he was beaten to such an extent that he could walk out of the arena and collapsed upon leaving the ring. A cliffhanger like that needed a big payoff....
