Former WWE star Katarina Waters, who worked extensively in the company as Katie Lea Burchill, has revealed how her frustrations with the company's creative process built up over time.

Waters told Wrestling Inc Daily that she was annoyed by constant cancellations and postponements for her various storylines in the promotion - WWE scrapped a feud between Paul Burchill and William Regal, another between her kayfabe brother and Mr. Kennedy, and another opposite The Boogeyman.

Katarina also pitched "about five or six" storyline ideas that fell on deaf ears. She said they were completely "ignored" by WWE's writing team, but they then failed to come up with any worthwhile alternatives for the duo.

The frustration was real.

One of Waters' biggest plans was to ignite a feud with The Hurricane on C-show brand ECW. She thought it'd stand out on the weekly, and presented her storyboard to creative. They weren't keen, and that was that. Katarina was baffled by the total lack of back-and-forth.

She wonders how she might've fared in the current women's division. WWE take women's wrestling more seriously than ever before, which Waters agrees is a good thing.
