A pregnant Becky Lynch relinquished the WWE Raw Women's Championship to Asuka last night, formally letting go of a strap she has held for over a year in an emotional show-opening promo.

It was a division-shattering way to start Raw, and new details how now emerged through an interview 'The Man' gave with People Magazine prior to the announcement, which was released during the broadcast itself.

Lynch, who has "always, always wanted kids," is due in December. She stated that being so career-focused always got in the way of her plans to start a family but this changed when she started dating Seth Rollins, which made "things start to look a lot clearer," as Becky "knew he was the person [she] wanted to have kids with - it was just a matter of when."

The happy couple discovered they were going to be parents in April. That month saw Lynch take several pregnancy tests, though the initial one came out negative. "I took the first one wrong," Becky said. "Then I took a few more tests until I got a digital one that just said the word 'pregnant.' I was with Seth at the time and he just threw his hands up in the air, all excited!"

That would explain why Becky hasn't wrestled since the WrestleMania 36 tapings, then. As far as an in-ring return goes, Lynch understandably isn't making any plans, telling People that she "doesn't know what it'll look like and how my priorities shift and what I'm going to do in the future.

Congratulations to the happy parents-to-be.
