Exclusive Interview: Ring Of Honor's Dalton Castle On Summer Supercard, Chris Jericho Cruise & More

Of course The Boys kind of copy you, which is kind of funny in a way, that you're original and they're copying what it is that you're doing. Or do you not look at it that way?

Dalton Castle: I don't think I understand that question -- what "boys?"

"The Boys" meaning the people who originally used to come to the ring with you.

Dalton Castle: I mean, if they're ever emulating me or trying to be me... I'm sure they they idolize me and look at me as someone that they only dream of being, but never can actually accomplish themselves. But they were just playing the role of "The Boys" and they were doing an OK job at it for a while until they weren't, of course.

The Boys were not with you on the Chris Jericho Cruise, which you were on last year. Was that an enjoyable experience to be part of?

Dalton Castle: The Boys weren't there because they can't swim and they're also definitely afraid of sea creatures. The cruise was great. I had a fun time. I love being in the sun. I love the ocean and I love drinks that have umbrellas in them. So I mean, just doing the one thing I love the most -- wrestling -- involved with all the rest of those ingredients, it was a great time.

Now I know your history with yacht rock, but was that the first cruise you'd ever been on?

Dalton Castle: No, that was probably not my fourth or fifth.

Well people tend to be hit or miss when it comes to loving cruises. If that was your fifth I'd take it that you do like cruising.

Dalton Castle: I like when other people prepare my food and they never tell me when I have to stop eating it. I like the sun. I like the sound of steel drums and palm trees and this was a different experience because I was actually performing on it. So I guess this was the first time I was on a cruise where I wasn't just a guest.

Hopefully there's another cruise in your future, in the near-future of course, but what do the next few months look like Dalton Castle? Anything you can reveal about that?

Dalton Castle: Well I've got a big match coming up in Toronto, Summer Supercard. That's going to be a really big night where I embarrass RUSH and make him pay for everything that he's done in the past. I feel like I'm going to be doing a really good service for the company of Ring Of Honor because I think every time RUSH is in the ring he puts the company at risk. He puts the fans in attendance at risk because he is reckless and he just kind of throws equipment and chairs and weapons all around. I'm looking for it to put a stop to him, and protecting what is important to me and that is Ring Of Honor and their liability to everyone in the room.
