After participating within Ring Of Honor's 2015 Top Prospect Tournament and making a big impression with fans, Dalton Castle properly signed with ROH. Castle would ultimately win the ROH World Championship from Cody at Final Battle 2017 and was part of this year's G1 Supercard, wrestling at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Dalton Castle will be battling RUSH on August 9th at the Summer Supercard in Toronto, Canada; Summer Supercard and all of ROH's upcoming live events, including its TV tapings, can be streamed live by HonorClub members. I had the pleasure of speaking with Castle about that and plenty more within our August 2019 phone chat.

Castle can be followed online via @theDALTONcastle while all upcoming Ring Of Honor shows are listed online at www.rohwrestling.com.

When you first signed with Ring Of Honor, did you know that you were gonna be there for years to come?

Dalton Castle: No, because the contract signing was only for 18 months. So I knew I was going to be at least 18 months.

Ring Of Honor has spawned a lot of the industry's greats, yourself included. When did you know that this was gonna be a career and that you didn't have to go back to rock radio?

Dalton Castle: I think was the moment I signed with Ring Of Honor I knew that I was not going back to a normal job. I felt at home immediately, I was confident in my abilities and it was very nice to see that the audience that I was performing in front of seemed like they wanted me to stick around for a while.

One of the great things about your character, or really who Dalton Castle is, is it's not like anyone or anything else in the company past or present But where does that come from? Is it really just an extension of who you are?

Dalton Castle: Well first, thank you. And yeah, I suppose it comes from who I am as a performer and as a person. I mean, I never set out to emulate or be somebody else. So I guess I'm fortunate that there wasn't somebody already in Ring Of Honor that was my identical twin.
