Exclusive: MLW's Salina De La Renta On Future Goals, McDonald's, Getting A Ph.D & More

On how much of MLW's growth is organic versus Court Bauer actually having a plan and goals:

Salina De La Renta: "I don't believe that everything we've had is because it's come to us. I know that Court works super-hard and he's always doing meetings and trying to see how he can make this company better... I would say it's 50/50 because yes, while we do work hard and Court's always trying to get our brand out there and talking to different people, there's a bunch of companies that are trying to reach out and see how they can work with us."

On the future of Promociones Dorado:

Salina De La Renta: "The future looks pretty bright. We have a golden ticket and with that golden ticket I can get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship whenever I want, so I mean, that's pretty great."

On whether she knew that she was poised for big things in MLW:

Salina De La Renta: "No, I did not see the outcome at all. When I joined MLW, I was under the impression that I was gonna be an interviewer. I'd say like the week before I started I got a phone call from Alex Greenfield, who is one of the producers, and he was like, 'oh hi Selena... do you think you can bring a suit?' I did not own a suit... I bought super-expensive suits, I barely could afford them. I was like, 'man, I'm really spending a lot more money in wrestling than what I'm making.' I was having a rough time but because I did that, I guess they were able to see the different aspect of me. Since I entered everybody was like, 'oh my God, you are a businesswoman' the minute I walked in. Everybody had to say something about it. So I feel like it was very fitting and I was taking a leap of faith."
