Fantasy-Booking A WWE G1 Climax

6. Lesnar Going Full-time

While this concept is wholly imaginary, perhaps the suspension of disbelief is most troublesome with regards to Brock Lesnar's full-time participation in such a lengthy tournament.

This problem is twofold. On the one hand, Lesnar quit the WWE in 2004 largely down to his incompatibility with the on-the-road lifestyle of a professional wrestler. His return post-UFC had the major caveat of limited performances, a stipulation he has carried through two world title reigns. To see Lesnar willingly going into a three-week wrestling slog is impossible to believe, especially seeing as Lesnar is already comfortable at the bottom of Vince McMahon's deep pockets.

Speaking of monetary incentives, the second reason this is hard to see regards WWE's marketing of Lesnar as a special attraction. Much like Okada, who limits himself to only a handful of singles matches each year, the G1 showcases the World Champion in nine one-on-one contests in only a few weeks. Lesnar is booked as the main event of pay-per-views, head and shoulders above the rest of the roster. Seeing him in a string of singles matches would be amazing, but hard to picture.

Alas, if we're following the NJPW model, the G1 is the only time of the year where the world champion gets into the trenches with the rest of the locker room. Seeing Lesnar run through his block would be a sight to behold.
