After the success of Supercard of Honor, Tony Khan’s Ring of Honor will soon face its toughest challenge yet. Set for 23 July 2022, Death Before Dishonor will be the first ROH PPV booked entirely by the AEW President.

Khan has been featuring numerous ROH wrestlers on AEW programming in recent weeks to help garner excitement for the event, and he's now reiterated just how pivotal a show this next PPV is for the future of Ring of Honor.

I think Death Before Dishonor will be one of the best wrestling shows of the year and I think it will be one of the best Ring of Honor shows ever. Death Before Dishonor is going to be great and I’m very excited for it,” Khan said in an interview with the New York Post.

With ROH yet to secure a new television deal, Death Before Dishonor’s success is essential to establishing the brand’s viability to potential partners.

"The last show also went on the worst night possible going against so many other big shows as well as both Rampage & Smackdown...This will be a better test of how ROH with some build on AEW television can do," Dave Meltzer wrote in the latest Observer Newsletter.
