Unlike most foreign menaces during wrestling's jingoistic milieu of the '80s, The Iron Sheik's homeland was no fabrication. An accomplished amateur wrestler in his native Iran and one time bodyguard to Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlava, Sheik sent shockwaves throughout MSG in 1983 when he ended Bob Backlund's five-year grip on the WWE title. 'Hulkamania' was born as a direct response to the terror from Tehran.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
