Taka Michonoku was arguably the first Japanese wrestler to make a long-term impact in Vince McMahon's promotion. In 1997, the 'Blue Playmaker' became the inaugural winner of the company's Light-Heavyweight Title, and stuck around for the next three years, during which he time regularly competed for the European strap as part of KaiEnTai.
