GLOW: 22 WTF Moments In Netflix's Ladies Wrestling Series

7. The Russian

Halfway through the season, Alison Brie's Ruth is the only character still without a clear persona. Not for a lack of trying, but nothing seems to work.

It's a stunning moment, and a turning point for the show (and Ruth), when she suddenly tries out a new act: a Russian.

A Soviet caricature, set during the Cold War era, she says things like: "In Soviet Union, we have one chair. We take turns to sit in it. You miss your turn, too bad. You sit on floor for rest of year!”

It's unexpected, baffling, and Brie - complete with hammy accent - is clearly having a great time, and it's hard not to feel the same watching it.
