GLOW: 22 WTF Moments In Netflix's Ladies Wrestling Series

6. Speak-Singing

GLOW WTF
Netflix

The presence of Kate Nash in the series is WTF in itself, at least to anyone who was a teenager in the U.K. when Foundations was absolutely everywhere, but the icing on that cake is this rap she composes as GLOW's theme song:

"GLOW, GLOW, that's the name/Women's wrestling is our game/If we play rough, please don't blame us/Our style is wild/And you know you can't tame us.
"I'm Britannica from the UK/That's probably why I talk this way/I wear these glasses on my eyes/One day I'll win the Nobel Prize."

The lyrics pretty much say it all (although it does, surprisingly, turn into a message of empowerment later on).

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
