GLOW Season 2 Review: 7 Ups And 1 Down

Ups...

7. The Show-Within-A-Show

There's something great about a series nailing a show-within-the-show, like TGS with Tracy Jordan in 30 Rock, and GLOW uses this trick brilliantly in its second season.

While in its first season the promotion wasn't really established - although we did get one excellent taping episode - this time around there's a much greater focus on seeing how the product comes together as they attempt to not only make it, but sell it too.

It becomes much more than just wrestling as well, encompassing some downright bizarre comedy sketches to make it a more rounded variety programme, and in one instalment we're even treated to an entire episode of GLOW as viewers of the show would see it. Without saying too much, it is simply brilliant.
