GLOW Season 3 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

7. The Ensemble Cast Is (Still) Fantastic
Unquestionably GLOW's great allure from the very beginning has been its wonderful ensemble cast, and even with the material not delivering quite as great dramatic returns this time around, the diverse roster of characters is still a ludicrously entertaining hoot to watch.
A clear attempt has been made to further the development of several peripheral characters, especially Sheila (Gayle Rankin), Jenny (Ellen Wong) and Arthie (Sunita Mani), helping the ensemble feel more well-rounded than ever.
The performances across-the-board are remarkable and enable the show to carry its more uninteresting subplots regardless, while a few neat additions to the cast don't hurt either - namely Kevin Cahoon as Barbra Streisand impersonator Bobby Barnes, and Toby Huss as Debbie's charming new love interest Tex.
Even when the material is at its least compelling, everyone in front of the camera is giving it their all without a doubt.
