GLOW Season 3 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs
6. The Location Shift Is A Welcome Change
Season two of course concluded with the GLOW production about to move to Las Vegas, and though for many shows a location change signifies a desperate attempt to shake-up the formula, that's certainly not the case here.
But all the same, moving from L.A. to Vegas does inject the show with a welcome new energy, and while little effort is made to depict the sprawling neon expanse of the Strip, the Fan-Tan serves as a fine arena for the ladies' professional and private dramas to play out.
The juxtaposition of these rough-around-the-edges women against the ornate hotel environment is at least as fun as it sounds, and while some will unavoidably see it as a lazy way to freshen things up, it actually works for the most part.
