Goldberg Claims Matt Riddle Is 'Annoying And Won't Go Away'
Goldberg is definitely not Riddle's bro...bro.
Former WCW, World Heavyweight and Universal Champion Goldberg told the Total Slam podcast that Matt Riddle is 'annoying' and not someone he feels he'll ever see eye to eye with.
Riddle doesn't seem to be content with simply p*ssing off Brock Lesnar at any given opportunity. Instead of easing up on his constant teasing and poking after the heat he caught backstage at the 2020 Royal Rumble, Riddle seems to have doubled down and hasn't shown any signs of letting up on his divisive social media approach towards established big boys Lesnar and Bill Goldberg.
Tweeting yesterday that he would be 'watching bro' in response to Goldberg taking on The Fiend at Super Showdown next Thursday, it appears that Riddle has finally gotten under the veteran's skin.
Goldberg told Total Slam that 'Riddle is like a booger stuck in your nose; he is annoying and won’t go away. He has no influence on Goldberg’s life. Period. End of story. It’s the wrestling business and sometimes when you’re out in public you may run into a former foe and you can never know how the situation will turn out. It is what it is, and we don’t see eye to eye.'
It's obvious that Riddle is angling for a grudge match with either Lesnar or Goldberg (or both?!) despite the fact that both men don't seem remotely interested in throwing down with the 'King of Bros' in the ring.
However, if enough buzz is drummed up for a potential bout between the old and new guard, Vince McMahon isn't going to stand in the way of these two distinct characters settling their differences in the ring.
