Goldberg's 9 WWE Losses - From Cleanest To Screwiest

5. Vs. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania 33)

This absolutely electrifying heavyweight sprint set the template for Goldberg's second WWE run.

Goldberg had defeated Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series the prior year in a shocker of a result. A lot of people were happy to see Goldberg back as something close to the WCW vintage. Others, naively, wondered why a member of the full-time roster didn't get to beat the man who beat the Streak. You wanted to see Chad Gable get the nod.

Vince McMahon thought he was a shade smaller than Lanny Poffo's penis and renamed him 'Shorty G'.

Lesnar got his win back in Orlando, and the match was electrifying. In a great moment, as good as intense dumb jock wrestling gets, Lesnar immediately smashed Goldberg with three bruising German suplexes. Lesnar roared in celebration, but Goldberg was so quick to get up that Kevin Dunn didn't even have time to cut to a different camera. The bump Lesnar took was phenomenal. It looked so real, like he had absolutely zero idea of the predetermined layout.

In an even better moment, after being drilled with several more spears, Lesnar leapfrogged a fifth attempt, sending Goldberg into the post and ultimately to defeat via the F5.

Awesome. It never got better than that for Goldberg, but it didn't stop WWE's attempts to replicate the magic.
