Heels Review: 10 Ups & 2 Downs For Episode 2: 'Dusty Finish'

4. The Bar Fight

The big bar fight in the second half of Dusty Finish could wind up being one of the standout moments of this entire season.

As drunken, depressed Ace Spade turns his vitriol towards some locals in a karaoke bar, that eventually leads to the inevitable brawl, with the wasted Ace not exactly shining in this initial battle. Of course, when Jack and Crystal wade in, that's when we really get down to business.

If last week let us know that Stephen Amell's Jack Spade was very much a traditionalist promoter and booker, this week totally amped-up the Bill Watts vibes to 11. For those not well-versed in the wrestling business, Watts was a rough 'n' tough promoter who ran his Mid-South territory with an iron fist, doing his utmost to protect the integrity of the business at every turn - including encouraging his wrestlers to step up and beat the p*ss out of anyone in the local bars who may question the realness of wrestling.

Here, Jack was Bill Watts, was Bill Watts' wrestlers, and was exactly what you would expect from someone who has spent their life protecting the wrestling industry.

Not just that, but this whole bar fight sequence had some brilliantly brutality dotted throughout it, utilising wrestling moves that would legitimately cause damage in a real brawl.
