Hulk Hogans history with WWE is a well-documented one. Hes one of the biggest stars in history. Hollywood Hulk Hogan however, is a WCW legend of his own. When Hollywood Hogan debuted in WWE at No Way Out 2002, WCWs glory days had just walked in the door. This was the bad guy no one in their right minds during the eighties or early-nineties would have ever thought to be. By the mid-nineties, the red and yellow had become stale. Hogan knew he had to make a bold move to revive his wrestling career, seeing as he had a juice-load of creative control sketched into his WCW contract. The timing was right, the moment proved to be right, but he almost didnt make it for the historical moment weve seen replayed a thousand times before. Scott Hall has gone on record to say Hogan was a slight jet delay from not being the mysterious third guy to join forces with The Outsiders at Bash at the Beach in 1996. He says the back-up guy was Sting, which could have surely altered entirely the business we know today. WWE fans are nostalgic and seemed to get over the Hollywood Hulk Hogan persona pretty quickly in exchange for one more run in red and yellow. Need a reminder?
