How AEW Will Deliver The Biggest (And BEST) Wrestling Show EVER In 2024

AEW's efforts to "restore the feeling" over the last few months have been mostly successful - away from the odd silly CCTV footage reveal and whatever the hell Jericho has been doing lately.

And it's a good thing, too.

The company was in desperate need of a soft reboot coming out of a rather bumpy and often frustrating 2023, a year which left many wondering whether TK's promotion would ever be able to rediscover the refreshing identity that made them the hottest company in town at one point.

Following on from a well-received Continental Classic, the signing of a few bona fide megastars, and a back to basics approach consisting of putting on the best wrestling you'll find anywhere on this spinning ball of madness, this version of All Elite Wrestling now feels like one really capable of producing one of the most special nights this industry has ever known in August.

They've consistently delivered on the PPV stage all year up to this point, with Dynasty perhaps even being the strongest event the organisation have put on since All Out 2021.

The engaging rise of Ospreay, Strickland, Okada, Storm, and more, along with Danielson's streak of insanely brilliant farewell contests and the ever-reliable Young Bucks, FTR, Samoa Joe, and Willow Nightingale regularly forcing fans to give a damn about the tales they're at the centre of, have helped recapture that All Elite buzz.

But the world of wrestling never stops, and Khan is hopefully already thinking of the creative journeys he can take his audience (and talent) on heading into their second attempt at stadium greatness.

2024 already feels like it's off to a more positive and promising start than last year, with a less divided locker room and an on-screen product that is once again rewarding viewers for latching onto the details all contributing to a more satisfying overall vibe.

There's still a long way to go before the All Elite circus rides back into London, though, and history has taught us that the wheels have a funny ol' habit of falling off when you least expect it.

But right now, and if important lessons have actually been learned from last year, it does honestly feel like AEW have all the tools needed to deliver not just another 9/10 night at the wrestling... but the sort of elite event that will never be topped.
