How Good Was Brock Lesnar Actually?

If we're talking about the Mount Rushmore of wrestling monsters, then Brock is surely guaranteed his place on that landmark. He's a phenom in the ring, responsible for some of the biggest WWE moments of the 21st century, and someone who could hang at the elite level of any roster ever assembled. He doesn’t have a broad range of contributions across a nearly 25-year run, but there’s no need to deviate from a formula that has proven itself to be truly timeless.

Lesnar isn't the best at promos, but his career has involved arguably the best talker in wrestling history flapping his gums on behalf of "Brrrroooooock Lesnar". There’s a suspicion amongst fans that he enjoys the size of wrestling’s payoffs more than he’s in love with the squared circle, and that can stop some from embracing Brock's legacy in the way that they could and probably should. The counterargument to that is that he’s a consummate professional in the ring and does a magnificent job of unselfishly selling for his opponent at all times.

There may also be an immovable stain to come in Brock’s legacy due to his name being heavily attached to the Janel Grant case. For now though, fans are embracing perhaps the final run from a giant of the game, and celebrating the career of a true WWE legend into the bargain.
