How This AEW Star Was Nearly A Wyatt Family Member

Judas Devlin
WWE

Discovered by Reddit user Elvisj, a old interview (conducted in Spanish and translated) during his return to the independent scene revealed the reality:

While you did not have so many TV appearances on NXT, your name came to be rumored for a debut on the main WWE roster, specifically as the fourth member of the Wyatt Family group, however it ended up not happening, were they just Rumors or was it an idea that was discussed and proposed to you?"It was definitely an idea, I even recorded a couple of promos along with Bray Wyatt , directed by Dusty , they tested some, Baron Corbin also tried them on, I think I could have had that position, but I got injured, but it was definitely being considered They thought 'well, Judas (Devlin) is the type that fits the most', so I started to have problems with my hip and I needed surgery, so that almost got rid of the idea, I did not recover as fast as they wanted, but they wanted to do it the same and that was when Braun (Strowman) arrived and it was very new, but they held it until it was ready, so I never had the opportunity to try it at all, and I would have loved it because it fits with the name of Judas and it would have been a good addition. It would have been perfect as you said because you could have been the Judas of the Wyatt family and betray him."[laughs] Yes, it's perfect!"

Maybe not quite perfect - not as perfect as a masked wrestling dinosaur hybrid, anyway.
