How THIS Wrestler Has Become WWE's Most Valuable Player In 2020

MVP WWE Raw
WWE.com

Nobody in WWE cuts a more authentic promo than MVP. He has always been a good talker, of course, dating back to his original run with the promotion, though recent years have seen this side of his game overtake his in-ring. MVP is still a good wrestler; it's just that he's an outstanding orator.

MVP is real. When he parts his lips, he doesn't come off like a performer playing an act, but a believable personality. He could hit the next episode of Raw with his shopping list, run through it several times, and still hook you, such is his skill. Age has made his voice gruffer, adding extra gravitas and, on a more superficial level, making him sound a lot cooler. The cadence has always been on point.

And what MVP is saying is just as important as how he is saying it. If The Hurt Business' leader is being scripted, he certainly doesn't sound like it. Being able to transcend WWE's oft-contrived material and deliver a killer promo through the Championship Opportunities, Local Medical Facilities, and WWE Universes is a talent possessed by very few. If this is the case with MVP, it's another piece of evidence in his favour; if he isn't scripted, it speaks to the level of trust WWE has in him.

As far as salesmen go, he is the company's finest...
