How WWE Can Finally Kill The Post-WrestleMania Curse
Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins. Kofi Kingston. Drew McIntyre. AJ Styles. Becky Lynch. Rhea Ripley.
The amount of absolutely sensational talents who have either successfully defended or walked out of WrestleMania as a new world champ, only to spend the next few months doing a grand total of diddly squat of note has been consistently depressing.
Is it really that hard?
Decide on precisely who could realistically and interestingly take the fight to whoever is left holding the top gold and then just tell another story capable of hooking those fans you've just brought on board for the Mania ride.
For example, should Cody walk into the Raw after Mania 39 as the new guy, then the opportunity is right there to give us the spiritual sequel to his and GUNTHER's epic Royal Rumble finale - The Ring General came in at #1 and still gave number #30 one hell of a final boss fight.
It already sounds more captivating than Rollins' wars with Corbin, Lynch's weird Lacey Evans detour, and Kofi fighting Dolph in a cage, right? Simultaneously, two birds are nailed with one stone, with the absolute bare minimum of producing a watchable first title defence feud also elevating a midcard sensation in the process.
And speaking of things in desperate need of boosting/being given some long overdue attention...
