How WWE Changed Its NXT COVID-19 Protocols For TakeOver: In Your House
WWE dropped or altered several COVID-related rules and regulations for last night's NXT show.
Last night's TakeOver: In Your House event saw WWE adjust its COVID-19 protocols for fans attending NXT events at the Capitol Wrestling Center.
As reported by Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri ahead of the event, audience members are no longer required to produce a negative test in order to attend shows at the revamped Performance Center. Instead, all WWE asked for TakeOver: In Your House was for anybody who'd come into contact with a person who'd tested positive or exhibited their own COVID-19 symptoms 14 days prior to the event to avoid attending.
WWE had previously required NXT fans to undergo a COVID-19 Antigen test, submit a health questionnaire, sign a waiver, and have their temperature checked upon entering the building.
These new regulations are in line with local governance in Florida, which permits gatherings of all sizes and doesn't require people to wear masks.
NXT welcomed its biggest pandemic era crowd into the Capitol Wrestling Center last night. A reported 300+ people were in attendance for In Your House, which saw the CWC reconfigured to allow for the increased volume of people, as WWE replaced the old video walls for rows of bleachers.
