How WWE Roster REALLY Feels About AEW's New TV Deal

Here's what the Superstars REALLY think about Dynamite's extension.

AEW broke some excellent news with last week's announcement that not only had their flagship show, Dynamite, been extended through 2023, but that the promotion had scored $175 million in rights fees as part of the deal and agreed to start producing a second weekly show for TNT.

On top of securing the promotion's medium-term security, it effectively made the Tony Khan-helmed group profitable as well. Now, the WWE backstage reaction to the deal has finally been revealed.

Per WrestlingNews.co, the news was celebrated throughout the locker-room, and appears to have generated a big boost in morale. Why? Because the increased competition has given wrestlers more leverage in contract negotiations, particularly when it comes to pay and road schedules, with Vince McMahon seemingly more accommodating than he has been in years.

"We know these aren't guaranteed contracts like WCW, but Vince is more accommodating these days because he wants to keep everyone happy," WrestlingNews.co's source said. "Some people are getting offered more money with a better schedule. We have AEW to thank for that."

If this report is accurate, it's further evidence that Dynamite's new, improved TV is a net positive for American wrestling as a whole. Competition is a good thing for everyone, and who could possibly be upset by that?
