Most fans know that Hogan defeated Triple H to win his final WWE championship, but not many recall this rematch a few months later. When you think about it, that's kind of odd, since most fans also know that Triple H always gets his win back. In fact, this match seems to be almost a reassurance to WWE fans that Hogan’s earlier defeat of HHH was a fluke, and that not even the holy Hulkster could resist Hunter’s might.

The match was really quite straightforward, with a lot of punching, clotheslines, and back body drops to go around. Curiously, Hogan decided to Hulk up out of a back suplex counter to a side headlock, which seems somewhat like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d suggest that someone insisted on protecting the Pedigree, but I really have no confirmation of that. Uh, other than the fact that the finish was HHH kicking out of a Big Leg, hitting a Pedigree and winning clean.

My, my, how the tables have turned.
