If WWE.com Was Being Honest: 5 Articles That Deserve New Titles
Just because WWE says it, doesn't mean it's true.
There’s been a lot of talk about “fake news” and “alternative facts” lately. Making things up doesn’t just happen in politics, it’s been going on in WWE for years.
The company’s website is filled with interesting stories and photos highlighting their storied past, along with articles designed to promote the current product. It also contains a lot of nonsense. It probably has much more nonsense than credible journalism and unbiased history. But that’s the nature of the beast. WWE is out to promote themselves and their agenda. Logic and reality be damned!
However, WWE.com sometimes puts out articles that clearly have an agenda behind it. They're trying to push something on fans, but aren't comfortable coming out and saying exactly what that is. It's either too embarrassing to admit, or they're trying to deceive you. We're going to look at a few of those articles and call them out for the sham that they are!
The company likely thinks that maybe, just maybe, if they keep repeating their own narrative then casual fans will buy into it. That kind of seems to be Vince McMahon’s world view as it is, at least when it comes to wrestling. He continually pushes the wrestlers and ideas he's grown fond of, and believes that if he keeps on doing it then fans will eventually buy in.
