If WWE Superstars Were Football Teams...

1. Hulk Hogan - Real Madrid

In the boom days of wrestling, there was no greater star than Hulk Hogan. A perennial champion, Hogan was the guy the crowds came to see. Sure, it took a great heel to make it worthwhile, but it was the chance to see the Hulkster dispatch his adversary that put bums in seats.

Towards the end of his dominance, fans were beginning to grow tired of Hogan's act, but this was promptly forgotten years later as nostalgia embellished their memories.

Whilst always keen to flex his impressive biceps, Hogan was never shy about flexing his equally considerable political muscle to ensure his place at the top of the card.

Real Madrid won the first five European cups, and like Hogan, have since done everything in their power to try and ensure they remain relevant at the top of world football - even if it is to the detriment of both every other club around them, and the sporting integrity of La Liga.

One way or another, both Los Blancos and the Hulkster have managed to achieve considerable success across different eras, even if it did require brute financial and political force to do so.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
