A live audience is still a possibility for IMPACT's summer pay-per-view.

There's still a chance that a live audience will be featured at IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary pay-per-view on 17 July.

The latest IMPACT Press Pass podcast saw Mike Gilbert of Fight Game Media ponder the question of if fans will be back to the IMPACT Zone any time soon. Instead of a straight yes or no, IMPACT's head of media relations Ross Forman simply said that there isn't a definite answer yet:-

"No, we haven't made any decisions on that yet".

IMPACT, like every other major promotion, has been without an audience since the COVID-19 pandemic set in last spring. They've continued to produce a worthwhile product, of course, but it's a shame this can't be playing out in front of a roaring audience.

WWE and All Elite Wrestling are both on track to welcome fans back full-time, with the latter hosting a full capacity crowd at Double or Nothing this past Sunday, making it their first event with such a crowd since the 11 March 2020 edition of Dynamite. WWE, meanwhile, will begin welcoming fans back on the 16 July SmackDown - the day before Slammiversary.

The anticipation is high for the 17 July show because of the possibility of certain former WWE stars showing up; those released in April are legally allowed to wrestle from 14 July onwards. At present, no matches have been confirmed for the event.
