IMPACT Wrestling Interested In Bray Wyatt?

AEW has been mentioned as Bray's next landing spot, but what about IMPACT Wrestling?

Bray Wyatt
IMPACT Wrestling/WWE

IMPACT Wrestling is pursuing one of the biggest names left on the free agent's market.

Per Dave Meltzer on the Sunday Night's Main Event podcast, the Anthem-helmed promotion is "really after" the former 'Fiend', who was released from WWE on 31 July and is currently bound to a 90-day non-compete clause preventing him from working elsewhere until 29 October.

Whether or not Wyatt is interested in working for IMPACT is currently unclear.

Meltzer has previously reported on AEW's apparent interest in signing Wyatt, though his Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer colleague Bryan Alvarez has heard conflicting information, claiming that people who'd be close to the situation expressed surprise at the Bray/AEW link.

This week has already seen IMPACT executive Scott D'Amore tease Braun Strowman and Buddy Murphy arriving in the promotion. Like Wyatt, those two were released by WWE earlier this year, with Vince McMahon and co. citing "budget cuts" in this era of record-breaking profits for the market leaders.

With CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and seemingly Bryan Danielson now off the table, Wyatt is the biggest name left in the free agent's pool. He has largely kept a low profile since leaving WWE, offering only a couple of social media teases (I, II).
