Is This AEW Star Heading To WWE?

With their AEW contract expiring, this star was at WWE Raw last night.

Matt Hardy
AEW

With his AEW contract reported to be expiring at some point this month, Matt Hardy was in attendance for WWE Raw last night.

Hardy's wife Reby took to Instagram to post a video of the couple in a skybox at Raleigh, North Carolina's PNC Arena, the venue of this week's Raw. The Hardys live in Cameron, North Carolina, which is approximately one hour away from Raleigh.

Of course, this could simply be a case of Matt and Reby checking out some wrestling action and catching up with friends. It's not like a wrestler from one company visiting talent in another promotion is anything new, with last week's AEW Dynamite having WWE's Bayley and Naomi in attendance to support Mercedes Moné. Obviously, the other side of this is that it will get people talking and speculating about Matt Hardy returning to WWE as and when his current AEW deal is up.

Should Matt indeed return to WWE, he'd be doing so without his brother Jeff for the foreseeable future, with the Charismatic Enigma's AEW contract having time tacked-on due to injury and inactivity.

As Michael Cole noted on last night's Raw, Matt vs. Jeff is one of only three Brother vs. Brother matches to happen at WrestleMania, with Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart and the upcoming Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso bout being the other two.
