It’s Official: WWE RAW Can’t Get Any Worse

This isn't a matter of taste anymore. It isn't. It simply is not possible to enjoy literally the exact same Viking Raiders Vs. Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin match that happened the previous week. Same match time. Same moves, more or less. Same result. It was literal, inexcusable copy and paste stuff, and again, irredeemable is not hyperbole. The match was presented to fill TV time with no thought, direction, passion, anything.

In the other tag team division, the entitled women's roster listlessly echo the tiresome self-own tirades that are the preserve of RAW Talk at the commentary desk. They deserve an opportunity, they're sick of being overlooked, etc. etc. This article is a scathing assessment of WWE RAW, but the sheer state of it is actually canon. Virtually ever WWE talent - Ali to Mandy Rose to most in-between - perceives the organisation as an anti-meritocracy too dumb and arrogant to recognise the worth of its performers. Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler - the combined longest-reigning team who...don't actually like each other - are currently feuding with Rose and Dana Brooke in story premised on falling over. Jax mocked Rose falling over at WrestleMania. As a measure of revenge, Rose and Brooke are making Jax fall over. This is "worth" more to them than winning championship gold. WWE Monday Night RAW is quite literally on its f*cking arse.

You might argue that Sheamus delivers the odd excellent match. Riddle too. And Drew. The action on RAW is sometimes bloody good, even, on rare weeks, smashing enjoyably into the hallowed banger realm. RAW is bad, but it's not Heroes Of Wrestling Bad!
